“I was sexually abused by Father Louis LeBourgeois when I was 4 and a half years old. The rape I endured in Father LeBourgeois’ car while he drove me home from preschool. This has since been well documented in two separate Archdioceses in the United States. Since 2015 the New Orleans Archdiocese have paid for my weekly therapy sessions. In spite of this knowledge, Father LeBourgeois’ name is still NOT on the New Orleans Archdiocese pedophile list. I live in California and requested that the Archdiocese of Los Angeles provide me with my file, and they promptly disclosed the limited file that they had. However, when I requested the full file from the Archdiocese of New Orleans, they refused to provide me with any documentation. How can one Diocese extend truthful transparency to survivors while the Archdiocese of New Orleans continues to operate covertly while secretively hiding documents of sexual abuse? I am seeking to have my file and the files on the pedophile priest that abused me released in order to cultivate understanding in order to heal. How and why were these crimes against my body and soul committed?”
